Learning from Hackathon in Thailand

Reflecting the experience of hosting a hackathon in Thailand, many to be thankful and celebrated. Sharing 2 highlights:

  • Incredible teamwork: In spite of some stressful moments and long hours, we put up an event that many participants said that they enjoyed, learned a lot, and wanted to come back next year. 2 teams went on receiving national grants to bring their ideas to life. The secret sauce is an enthusiastic team of diverse background with shared passion of entrepreneurship and improving healthcare and humanity, utilizing and building upon MIT’s playbook.
  • Discipline, self-care, and candor: I admire my partner Brenda for being accountable and effective, caring for others while putting self first, giving honest feedback respectfully that help others grow, and sticking to her commitment, e.g. exercise an hour everyday.

I’m grateful to be part to learn, contribute, and experience the hospitality and creativity of Thailand!
