Take the Time

I’ve found it’s productive to write down the to-dos, think, and prioritize before the day start. It’s even more effective to turn-on the computer ‘later’. To manage the ‘distractor’ (e.g. emails) and avoid jumping in too quickly (especially seemingly quick or urgent thing) is as much or even more valuable than taking the action. Take the time to think and do it right.
