Concerning and expressing worries about the unknown is understandable yet not productive, especially when the person is influential in the team because his or her words may hinder team to even ‘start’. What’s more constructive for the leader or influencer is to encourage team to explore and help create a plan of scaling: analysis, back test, pilot to implementation so team can (fail fast) learn and adjust along the way. If future is known, there will be no need for forecast, hedge/ option, analytics or exploration…how boring the life will be? surprise and challenge make life more interesting 🙂
