I’m excited to see Harvard Business School’s Women in Business conference back in person, my first physical attendance since pandemic (3 years went fast). People were excited to see and interact with each other.
I was chatting with one of the few men at the conference. He said his sister invited him. He thought it’s great and more men should be here. He is right. It takes 2 to dance. The ideal is not to make men feel uncomfortable but feel compelling and attractive to promote and advocate for women.
At the same time, I saw changing mentality. Most speakers focused less on gender inequality but be true to yourself. They are right. Believe I can do it, sit at the table then figure it out, and surround/ hire smarter, more experienced people so I can learn faster.
Talking about believing the possibility and taking action to make it happen. My attendance was an immediate example. The conference was sold-out and I was on the waiting list. I decided to go anyway, prepared to either convince the organizers to let me in (if somebody dropped off or I don’t take food or souvenir if it’s set number.) or consider the walk as an exercise. I GOT in and had a great day!
Hello! I simply want to give you a big thumbs up for the great information you have here on this post. Ill be returning to your site for more soon.
