We successfully released a milestone feature at the end of May, pilot and prepared teams and partners for the change management in June, and rolled-out system-wide today. Last week we also gave a highly complimented team presentation about the journey at company’s learning event (see ‘Teamwork for Positive Changes’ post). With organizational change and initiative in different stage, it’s time to take a moment to recognize…team contributions and system progress.
Building from scratch, it’s a family of 4 systems* now: web and mobile job boards, job creation tool, and trouble-shooting portal and automates more than 60% of PO processing*. We have delivered and expanded the original objectives of hand-off/back work, PO creation, gathering transactional data in one place to increase PM productivity, reduce outsourcing costs, improve on-time-delivery via faster time-to-assign, and enhance user experiences with integrated data/ business intelligence.
It has been a long way from the start…as a tenured colleague (who is credited to initiative the idea) put ‘this is the most innovative, biggest change initiative ever in the company’. I’m proud of the works we’ve done together and I’m grateful for the team efforts. I also learned that success is not only doing good works but also telling great stories.
