Enchanted Halloween

A special Halloween 2020: I achieved the goal to complete “UncoverSpecial” book editing by the end of October – getting ready to publish in November and I enjoyed two first experiences…

First Trick ‘o Treat: I came to US as an adult so I never had a candy basket experience. I did my usual after-dinner walk in my neighborhood. This year, due to Covid, quite a few neighbors put a bowl of candy outside with candy in a wrap or in another plastic bag. There was even a bottle of sanitizer by the candies at a house. I became a big kid. See how many candies I got from taking one piece or bag of candy at each place on two streets. What a harvest! (see image) I’m also glad to see a few parents out with children, with masks yet continue enjoying the Halloween spirit.

First virtual magic show: Anthony performed live on Zoom from Korea. He kept pouring milk from a big carton to a tiny glass but somehow nothing spilled out (why?) then he drank it (to show it’s real). He then asked one guest in the audience to choose a card, unknown to him. Later he cut a lemon in front of us, the card was inside, and he squeezed the juice to make a lemonade. It’s a real lemon. Wow, how did it happen?

An enchanted Halloween, productive, fun, and magical! Thanks to friend and neighbor’s creativity and generosity!

Note: name changed to protect the person’s privacy.
