A beautiful start of the day/ weekend with sunshine and brisk refreshing air, I joined 7:45AM yoga class. Perhaps it was early or cooler, my body was a bit stiff. I was wobbling on my balancing pose and got a bit frustrated about myself…
Fortunately, I quickly ‘caught’ myself and calmed myself down; Warrior 3, flat body head-to-toe standing on 1 lag (T-shape) with hands hanging, is never easy. The yoga teacher reminded us that it’s OK wherever we are, ‘listen and follow’ our body…I loosened my muscle, smiled, and moved on.
Looking back, in only 1 month of yoga practice, I’ve seen the difference: smoother breath with the movements, more ‘present’ in the practice as well as getting stronger, more flexible, and better balanced.
I took ‘1 stretch a day’ as October exercise and have made great progress at work and tried new things in life. Like yoga, I’m learning the balance, pull ‘n push, stretch and slack, drive and relax. It’s wonderful to celebrate success and climb the new height, at the same time, let go and give myself a break. Life is good!
