Incredible

A friend asked ‘why the tea leafs in my tea is so big?’ , I thought ‘what do you mean?’ (in my mind: haven’t you seen a tea leaf?); I looked at my glass and realized…in America, people usually drink from tea bag which is made of tiny pieces/ shredded leaf. Many people never see a ‘full’ tea leaf. While in Asia, Chinese tea is brewed from tea leaf. It starts/ looks like a little ‘ball’, once it soaks in the hot water, the leaf ‘opens up’ and returned to its shape. I explained and showed my friend the long green leaf floating in the water, ‘It’s incredible…and beautiful’ His eye widen and whispered…

The transformation (size, color, shape, and flavor) of tea leaf is ‘incredible’; even more, if not because of my friend’s question, I’d not notice the leaf’s ‘beauty and magic’ though I’ve been enjoying/ drinking tea for years.

Like tea, there are plenty of ‘incredible’ things in our lives if we listen and watch with a curious mind ~J~
