Teamwork for Positive Changes

My boss asked me to present at company’s monthly learning event. I named it ‘teamwork for positive changes’ and did several things new/ differently. First, I asked team to co-present (vs. the usual solo). It’s more fun and every success is a team efforts. Second, I want to engage the audience so we sent pre-session survey to learn about them and ask what they know/ think about the system we build/ manage. I used the inputs to create a word cloud to open the session, thanked audience for their contribution to the system success, and tailored the takeaways to their roles. Third, we shared a story – a journey of how the system started, what was the original objectives to where we are today, evolving and expanding goals and benefits to the users. We focused on what works, how change happens, and why it matters to the audience.

The result…we received 4.5 out of 5 star rating from the post-session survey and many compliments from people; what’s more? teamwork to make positive changes ‘live’ in front of audience & learning for all~
