I love fall, beautiful weather and colors. It’s too nice to stay indoor. I don’t have a back yard or patio so I head out to search for a spot…i found it in a nearby park, under 2 large trees and on top of the little hill…Sun shines through the leaves warm without burning, birds chips around (what are they talking or singing?), and breeze glares my face. I have a panoramic view: a neighbor sips a coffee while reading newspaper on his front porch. A dad pushes the swing for his little girl. A young lady puts up a picnic blanket and reads under a tree. She also found her spot.
These bring me a smile…the simplicity and calmness…I suddenly realized that it has been over a year since I moved to this neighborhood yet this is the first time that I sit in the park. If not due to covid, I would be ‘busy’ traveling to find ‘new’ things to see/do yet what’s new? Everything I’m seeing now, less than 2 minutes walk from home is also new.
What’s new doesn’t require a long flight, exotic menu, or breathtaking scenery (though they’re wonderful) but pay attention with my eyes, ears, and mind to notice the beauty, joy, and growth around me and happening everyday~
