Chinese New Year’s (CNY) Eve, aunt asked me if I want to go to dim sum with her and her good friend. Normally, I’d be working yet there was server connection issue, I couldn’t do much at the moment so I joined them. We chatted and laughed over 蝦餃(shrimp dumpling), 鳳爪(chicken feet), 蘿蔔糕(turnip cake), 螃蟹球(fried crab ball), 豆花(dou hua), etc. We stopped at a Chinese restaurant on our way home, aunt and her friend want to buy some CNY special food, I decided to go home first. A nice day to walk, especially after a full belly. The server issue was resolved soon after I got home and I caught up work. Thanks to the flexibility and remote work.
Chinese New Year day, aunt and I cooked fish and vegetables, keep the tradition of 年年有魚(餘) wealth left/ continues every year and eat healthy. I enjoyed listening to aunt’s stories. Our simple yet fun celebration.
The next few nights, I prepared dinner for aunt and I…
2nd night of CNY: Buddha jump over the wall + tofu and Woodward; 3rd night: Pork soup (can’t believe with airfryer), stew pork.
4th night I had video reunion with mom, dad, and sister then watched Olympics opening with aunt (more see Beijing Olympics).
