I started my whole food plant-based (WFPB) diet experiment in 5/6, more see ‘ByeBye…Egg, Fish, and Cheese – UncoverSpecial’
After only a week, I noticed my belly shrink, really?
Then I learned why*. Beans have the most concentrated plant proteins. We feel full eating them. Meanwhile, plants have much lower calories compared to animal protein so we lose fat/ reduce waist size if eating similar amount of food (plant vs. animal) or not gain weight by eating more plant proteins.
2 weeks later, I went to support a friend training for a 5k run. We supercharged ourselves with leafy greens and fruits. One night we went running…we were disappointed when a security guy asked us to leave after the track light was shut-off. We could and wanted to keep going. I’m a regular runner yet I’ve never felt running this light, fast before without feeling tired at all.
6/3, I went to get a blood draw. In 4 weeks…
My cholesterol dropped 30 points and LDL dropped 26 points. They both started in very good range, now even better. I had close to 0 inflammation (hsCRP). WoW!
Also, I recalled more vividly of the recent reads (3 books).
I feel sharper, lighter, and faster and I enjoy learning to cook/ eat differently (I used to make everything wet, e.g. soup or rice in rice cooker and everything dry, e.g. baking or toast in an oven). Look forward to continue learning more about WFPB diet, eating healthy, and living a vibrant life!
