Like a Daughter

Today is Mother’s Day and I went to a rehab to visit aunt’s good friend. She recently fell, broken her ribs then got a blood infection. She was in the hospital for several days. Fortunately she got better yet her children aren’t near-by so it’s better that she stays in the rehab to recover a bit more before going home by herself.

I brought dim sum and it was a perfect weather to picnic out, sunny, with breeze, and temperature in high 60s. We sat at the table in the yard, enjoying the fresh air and delicious treat. We took a picture and both look sunny. She sent the photo to her son and said ‘I don’t know how he would feel, lucky that mom has a good company or shamed that he isn’t around’. Her daughter family came to visit her yesterday yet today, Mother’s Day, I’m her only visitor. (I visited her every weekend) She said she has ‘angles’ around her so she gained a chance to live further. I don’t know how her family feel, neither have the magic to save people’s lives yet i’m glad that I did my part and brought joy, love, and care to both of us.

Happy Mother’s Day!
