Inclusion

I attended Harvard Kennedy School Poverty and Inequality Conference. The sessions are very good yet the name needs to change, not only to be hopeful but also aim for desired outcome vs. avoidance (theme: ‘toward a more just world’ is much better).

I attended the sessions of identity/ fighting status quo, healthcare reform, change of work force, upward mobility, and early child education. Share a few reflection/ takeaway…

Eye openers to hear from the opening panel about their personal stories (a man who killed somebody at 17, a transgendered woman, and a blind yet highly educated and clearly intelligent lady) and activism on reimagine incarceration, LGBTQ equal right, and disability value (beyond human rights or sympathy).

Shocking to see the stats for ‘Place’ matters, presented at keynote…

To be aware then understand are the first steps to build a more just world; think of values vs. lack, diversity brings innovations and inclusion is benefit to all.
