Return to School

I returned to NSYSU (National Sun Yat-Sen University) my alumni university, more than 3 years since my last visit, I noticed quite a few changes…

– more foreign students from various cultures

– the tunnel becomes a sky, recorded with cloud-shape lights, neon-light stars, and projection of art, poem, etc. With Christmas coming, students are giving out candy and wishing the passbys merry Christmas

– more food choices at restaurant on the hill yet lunch box in the cafeteria used to be NT30 (~USD$1) is now at NT50-60, though still cheaper than outside, run NT80-100

I sat under the tree enjoying my lunchbox and watching the students mingling across culture, language, and food. NSYSU has been the pioneer of exchange students in Taiwan, it carries our national father’s name and welcomes all students with opportunities, knowledge, and hospitality, just like the surrounding mountain, ocean, and sunshine…
