Intention, Interpretation

A friend gave me some plants. I put a bag of them on the front of the house and went to the back to grab something. When I came back, in just a few minutes, the bag was gone. Really? Somebody stole plants? Why didn’t he/ she ask, I’d be happy to give…

Some time later while I was planting, one women stopped and complimented the beautiful plant. I ‘vented’ on her that I can’t believe someone would steal plants. She smiled and said ‘That’s unfortunate. Today is patio day, so many people walked around, someone might mistake something on the pathway as ‘free to help yourself’ ‘

Well, the bag wasn’t on the public path but my pathway yet she is right, it might be mis-interpreted. A few minutes later, another man walked pass while I was digging a hole, he stopped, smiled at me, and said ‘good job’. I smiled back…

Yes, it’s a beautiful day and I’m happy to see green around me. I no longer felt resentment for the persona who took the plants. Hopefully they make his/ her place a bit greener and sunnier. Little, simple kind word makes a big difference in how we feel, think of things and people. Look at/ for the green side!
